Designed to prepare you for a range of careers in artificial intelligence, our BSc (Hons) Computing with AI Technology combines a wide range of computing subject areas, such as machine learning on cloud and programming, with Artificial Intelligence Technology.

This recognised undergraduate qualification is especially suited to learners who have related IT work experience, but do not hold a first degree, as it provides an opportunity to achieve an academic qualification in a subject area in which you are familiar.

To accelerate your learning, this programme will expose you to theories and principles relating to the design, development and testing of software using AI. You will be introduced to the in-depth concepts, principles, technologies, and techniques to train and deploy distributed machine learning models using cloud-based platforms such as Google Cloud or AWS. You will subsequently be able to apply this knowledge and skill in your own context, and subsequently critically analyse the implementation and recommend potential future improvements.

You will additionally develop understanding of the typology of innovation, how firms leverage internal and external resources to compete in the digital environment, and how to plan for innovation in any organisation.

Requirements

Depending on your previous qualifications, you can join the programme directly onto Year One, Two or Three.

Year One (Level 4)

Entry requirements:

  • 120 UCAS Tariff points
  • GCSE Maths and English Language at minimum grade 4/C, or an equivalent

English language requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0 with no single element below 5.5, or equivalent

Year Two (Level 5)

  • HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in ana computing or IT subject area

Year Three (Level 6)

  • HND or Foundation Degree in a computing or IT related field.
